Kintsugi, or Kintsukuroi, is the centuries-old Japanese art of fixing broken pottery and translates to “golden joinery.” The golden seams celebrate what would be considered imperfections — a philosophy that beauty is not diminished by history, but deepened by it. These sandals are a wearable meditation on that truth: the metallic foil kangaroo leather lacing traces the foot like gilded seams across repaired porcelain, transforming each step into an act of quiet artistry. To wear Kintsugi is to carry a piece of that ancient wisdom — that what has been mended is more beautiful for having been broken.
Our sandals use 3mm gold foil kangaroo leather lacing (one of the strongest leathers in the world) to create the effect of golden seams across the fore and mid foot. 1.5m of the same lacing wraps around the ankle to secure your foot into the sandal.

Material: Vegetable tanned kangaroo leather upper & bovine leather sole. The natural tanning process means the colour will become richer with age. Natural lactae hevea stopper on sole to ensure grip.
Sizing & Fit: We use Italian European Sizing, which is the standard measurement for shoes. Our sandals fit true to size but if you prefer a bit of extra room, we suggest going up a size. The width of our sandals is quite standard as well and are medium width. Please check size guide for product measurements. The leather will stretch and mould to your foot, so don't panic if they feel tight at first.
Model is a size 38.5 and wears a size 38 Kintsuji Joinery sandal
If you have a wider or a narrower foot it is possible to customise your sandals to your measurements. Please choose custom option at checkout or email us to discuss
